同理心的定義：

 

1. 站在對方的立場，體會他的感受，用心傾聽他的想法：

 

2. 你的立場我瞭解、你的感受我能體會、你的想法我知道。

 

3. 同理≠同意(贊同)

 

 同理心與同情心的比較

 

 同情心(Sympathy)

1.為求助者的問題擔憂。

1.將重點放在求助者的感覺和想法。

2.聽完求助者的事情後，一時語塞。

2.幫助求助者清晰混亂的感覺和想法。

3.想起你在類似情況中的感覺。

3.確定你真的明白對方所說的。

4.對傷害求助者的人感到憤怒。

4.允許求助者表達  負面情緒。

5.被求助者的痛苦淹沒。

5.讓對方知道你真的想了解他。

6.為求助者感到遺憾。

6.幫助求助者找出自己的解決之道。

7.將重點放在你自己的反應。

7.將重點放在求助者的反應。

 

 *同理心的重要意涵

 

 1.不是對方「應該」有什麼感受，而是他真正經驗到的感受是什麼。

 

2.「他人」取向，而不是「我」取向

 

→ 暫時忘記自己，進入對方的思想或感情中。

 

 ※你的同理回應、不表示你贊同對方，只是讓對方聽到與知道你了解他了。

 

 不妥之處：

 

 1. 否定他的感覺

 

2. 給予建議

 

3. 甚至可能讓對方懷疑是自己有問題
